Nine weeks to go
Wow, can you believe it, there are only 9 weeks to go before I face my biggest challenge to date.
It was great to meet up and run with all the people from TRIBE Run for Love III this week at the Maverick X Tribe Run Free. I also had a good run around the half marathon course - took it easy and kept it controlled to try to avoid injury. There was mud, mud, and a lot more mud. Once I found skin under the mud I felt good. I am grateful that my legs recovered well for another run on Sunday. The weekly mileage is building now and I’m feeling good.
Unfortunately, I’ve come down with a head-cold, so I am focusing on eating well and taking it easy for the next few days to try and shift it quickly as possible; missed time can be detrimental to my training.
For those of you who are still interested in volunteering your time, I’m still looking for crew for the beginning of the run and would love to hear from anyone who would be able to help out. Please feel free to drop by the website and fill in the contact form and we will get back to you as soon as possible. https://www.runtorefuge.com/
All in all, it has been a relatively quiet week, still plodding forward and having meetings with people who support us in this monumental journey. I had a meeting with the Rotary Club this week and I will let you know more details about it in my next blog. So stay tuned……
Thank you for all your continued support.
