I've run some of today's section of the coast path in races before, so I knew what was ahead as I set off this morning and I knew today was likely to be a tough day. What I had maybe forgotten is the races I've done are loops, so head inland for part of the loop, generally the hills are smoothed a bit inland when compared to the cliff edge. Being on the edge most of the day meant a rollercoaster of a day. I don't think there's been many days when I gain more height. Maybe back in Ceridigion, but I'd need to go back and check. I did not sleep well last night, sometimes that just happens, I try not to dwell on it. It did mean I was feeling tired when I was sent on my way by Kevin. There were a lot of very steep ups and downs today. As a bit of a sting in the tail of the project, on my tired legs, today was properly brutal. Saying that I got it done. Another day done and another day closer to home. I took it super easy on the ups and downs today, trying to save my legs a bit now so that I feel kinda fresh on the final few days. I would love to be running freely for those days and not be managing any niggles. Although, if that is the case, it is what it is and I'll still try and take in the experience and have some fun.

It is bending my mind to think that very shortly I will have finished running about 3000 km in three months. For me that is big mileage. It has been great getting to see places I've never been and now want to go back to. It's also been great seeing places I've never been and definitely do not want to go back to. The second list will stay in my head and maybe shared with a few close friends.

I am sure there is a lesson to be learnt from today but I am too tired to figure out what the lesson is and so I am going to stop here and get to sleep. I'll have a think about what today taught me and let you know tomorrow (now there is a hook and tease).
